Each gear drive uses precision-machined and heat-treated billet steel gears to ensure the ultimate in durability and timing accuracy. Each kit features a 3 keyway crank sprocket which allows up to 4 degree of advance or retard.

Advanced Beehive™ Valve Spring ideal for “boosted” diesel drag racing applications

Now GM Duramax diesel engine builders can reap the benefits of COMP Cams® innovative Beehive™ Springs when building their high performance drag racing and turbocharged engines. COMP Cams® Beehive™ Valve Springs offer benefits not found with standard cylindrical springs, including reduced spring (and retainer) mass, better valve control with reduced spring pressure and a harmonic-resistant shape. These premium springs are for GM 6.6-Liter Duramax diesel engines and are simple drop-in replacement components that require no machining or special fitment.

COMP Cams® Beehive™ Springs are made from Super Clean™ chrome silicon steel using a revolutionary ovate wire design and in Duramax applications are used in conjunction with COMP Cams® Part #4688 valve seats and COMP Cams® Part #701 steel retainers. With an increased seat pressure versus stock components, the Beehive™ Valve Springs are compatible with more aggressive lift and duration profile camshafts, making them perfect for serious diesel drag racing applications.
